Nothing better than starting your trip with a glass of Rosé to get the vibes going. David and I stopped by The Perch in Downtown LA for happy hour.
Views from the rooftop bar. Watched the beautiful sunset as we cheered for our first road trip to LA together!
Infinity Mirrored Rooms by Yayoi Kusama, The Broad
Experiencing Yayoi Kusama Infinity Mirrors Exhibition was surreal! Such a dope experience, with tons of photo opps!
Visiting contemporary art museums has become a favorite activity for David and I. It's a super chill experience, usually inexpensive and great conversation starters!
Guisados, DTLA
All that walking and artsy talk sure made got us hungry! So off we went to the highly recommended, Guisados in DTLA. No lie, the tacos were delicious! David and I both ordered the sampler, a total of six mini tacos with your desired toppings which was the best choice ever; great way to try different ones *high five*! HEAVEN. Best part was that they had numerous vegetarian options!
Hollywood Sign
We decided to go for an early morning hike, and what better excuse than to hike to the Hollywood sign. It was my very first time being so close to the sign. It was awesome. I highly suggest you find the best trail prior to your hike.
Soaking up that LA sun and polluted air. LA is a special lace.
The Hart and The Hunter, West Hollywood
Stroll around Fairfax. The vibes are pretty cool and they have tons of hip shops.
Museum of Latin American Art (MOLAA), Long Beach
Our Visit to MOLAA in Long Beach was awesome. If you are ever in the Long Beach area, please stop by and support our fellow Latinx artist!
Santee Alley, Fashion District
A trip to LA wouldn't be complete without a visit to Santee Alley! It is absolutely one of my favorite places to go when I'm down there. From the music blasting at the booths, the street food, good deals, cheap hoops, endless hair accessories and funny ass graphic tees - I LOVE IT SO MUCH! This is not your cliché bougie street in LA. It's similar to a flea market, expect all stands start to look the same after a while. I've scored some cool stuff!
Daikokuya, Little Tokyo DTLA
Enjoyed a delicious bowl of ramen x beer at Daikokuya in Little Tokyo, DTLA with good company.
The Butcher's Daughter on Venice
Bright and colorful brunch at The Butcher's Daughter on Venice. David and I visited their location in NYC and loved it, so we decided to visit their LA spot. We got there early, so the wait wasn't bad. The aesthetic here is lovely. It's a bright place filled with plants and beautiful decor.
Pit stop at a local fruit stand for a yummy fresh fruit. I got a combination of cucumber & mango con chile y limon. SO FREAKIN' GOOD!
Echo Park, Eastside
We picked up some chips and a bottle of wine and drove to Echo Park to enjoy our last sunset in LA. It was awesome.
Carrera Cafe, Melrose Ave
Couldn't leave LA without trying out a new coffee shop! We stopped by Carrera Cafe for the first time and ordered two capps. We low key only came here for their insta worthy coffee art. David & I got a Drizzy and Good Vibes Only cappuccino followed by the hundreds of pictures we took.
