In the Bay, even summer days can get a bit chilly. So rockin’ a sweatshirt or edgy hoodie with a chic skirt is my shitttt! I would totally rock this on a chill Friday evening to hang out with friends or on a casual date with babe. Since I received tons of questions about this Oakland sweatshirt I picked up from Topshop years ago, I decided to list a few sweaters and hoodies that are absolutely dope af! You can even ditch the booties for a pair of cool sneakers. Totally up to you! 🙂

After so much craziness going on in the last couple of weeks, I am finally getting around to share with you all a quick overview of my NYFW experience. As I had mentioned before, it was my very first NYFW this past month and oh myyyyy I am so thankful for the opportunities and memories I made during the time out there! I wore this pretty modern Victorian-esque dress from H&M and paired it with my current favorite sock booties for a sleek look. Since the dress was pretty long, I decided to sneak in a pair of leggings underneath to protect me from the freezing cold. They were seriously a LIFE SAVER!

I must admit, this day was probably one of the craziest for me. My day began early, I was able to get glammed up by Caravan Styling Studio, following with a quick coffee/donut break at Dough with the hubby, then going rushing to the hotel to finish getting dressed and finally adventuring out to the different shows and events. Everything happened so fast. It was a dope experience. Loved all the moments I shared with Carlina and David.

Layers on Layers

When it comes to dressing up for the cold weather, I get a bit hesitant. My goal is to look cute while staying warm. My mom always told, “Manten tus pies calientitos, Daisita!”, so as long as my feet are warm… we good!
As I mentioned in the last post, my trip to PDX was so cold. I think this trip definitely helped me practice my layering skills while staying mobile and fab. I rocked two pair of socks all the time, wore a pair of leggings under my pants, about two tops, plus my coat. I was a happy camper. I also learned that adding fun accessories to your cozy outfit could sometimes help you feel more put together. I went for a fuzzy beanie, sparkly earrings and bold lippies.

PDX Memories

Snowstorm

Let me just say, this fuzzy jacket was everythingggg during my recent freezing trip to Portland! This little monster had been chillin’ in my closet for such a long time and FINALLY I was able to take it out to play! I purchased this coat almost a year ago at H&M for $15 bucks! Yes, you read that right… FIFTEEN BUCKS!! When I first  saw it, I was a bit hesitant to pick it up. It low key looked kinda intense but I stopped to think when and where would I actually wear it?! I figured I could throw it on with some skinnies or leather skirt. It was the beginning of Spring  and knew I wouldn’t be wearing it any time soon, but who was going to beat that price and coziness! I didn’t own anything like this so I thought to myself… what the heck.

Long story short: Don’t be scared to pick up something that looks out of your “style” or comfort zone. If you laid eyes on it and actually liked it for a minute… take it home, try it on and play with it! Especially if its a good deal! The item might end up saving your butt in a wild snowstorm like me!

Feeling Stunner

Crazy how much a backdrop can make your photo pop-out! Instantly, feel in love with this awesome wall located in the Art District of LA as we were driving around seeking for a location to shoot. Since I was wearing a basic black and white outfit, I figured this wall would be the perfect pop of color. And ya’ll know colorful walls are my shittttt! Carlina & I

February already?!? Which means, it’s time for some NYFW madness. I am beyond excited to share with you that I will be attending my very first NYFW evaaa with my lovely Carlina from Allergic to Vanilla! Experiencing my first time in NYFW with her is extremely special. Time with Carlina is the best time! We share tons of similarities (we even buy the same shoes sometimes) and when we hang out, it’s nothing but big smiles. As you can see in the photos above, we try to be cute and chic AF for pictures but as soon we see our hubby’s watch us do our thang, we can’t help but to crack up. Anyone else love rocking sunnies all year round?! I sure do!

I honestly think there is a settle stigma that sunnies are only meant to be worn during sunny days. And basically, me don’t like that rule. A pair of shades is a must in my purse at all times! Even in the winter! It protects me from the windy mornings, the bright roads, and helps hide my “not wanna be seen right now” face. I recently discovered IZIPIZI, an eyewear line based in Europe with the most minimal and chicest styles! IZIPIZI just launched in North America, which I am very excited about! It Feels like Spring!

This weekend was amazing! It was my first time going to Monterey, Ca and the weather was just perfect. I wore this outfit on Sunday to grab some lunch by the Marina and ride our bikes too (I wore shorts underneath). I wanted to wear something spring inspired, casual and cute. So in order to dress down the skirt, I wore a denim button down on top and these cute Keds I bought at a boutique so I could be comfortable. I am so ready to take out all my spring and summer clothes!
